I seem to update my pitas.com journal more than this (i think that journal was last updated on 5/8 or something).

Since my last entries, my grandma Nita has been laid to rest. It was a sad time for me, but I'm no longer grieving, now I'm just remembering and celebrating her life. There were so many great memories that I have of my grandma, and as long as I keep those memories alive she will always be with me.

I just wanted to put something up to let everyone who reads this thing know that I'm doing alright and it's going pretty well right now. That's how I've been feeling the past week. I thought that I was doing so great on all the tests that I was taking in my classes, maybe I was over confident, maybe I was a little cocky, whatever it was maybe I deserved it. It's all so frustrating when you have this feeling that you're finally doing things right, then you find out that everything you've done was wrong and for nothing.

I've been trying to be a regular Asian kid, "the model minority" and an "over achiever", but I've always fallen short. I really want to do well in school and not waste the money that's being spent on my education but there are just too many distractions out there. There has to be a simplier life out there for me where I can just forget about all this material stuff that I stress over and just focus on the things that really matter. Every morning when I wake up I little bit of the "old gentle" Anthony fades and is replaced with this critical and mean spirited grumpy little boy. It may sound stupid by I can slowly feel my soul change into something inhuman... something evil. I've been trying my best to fight it but it seems like I can win the battles but the war is just not winnable. Maybe human nature is truly evil, and in order to be good we have to deny ourselves and strive for something better.

Today is the first day of May...

I found out that I lost my grandma today. It was my grandma Nita who passed away today, she's my dad's mom (my other grandma is still alive and is living with us). I got the news of my grandma's passing at around 1:30pm, I didn't think that I would be so emotional but I was. I didn't go hysterical or anything like that, I just began to tear up. I can't write anymore on this... my heart's just not in strong enough to continue writing.

Today started off pretty rough. I got to school late and missed my first class. Well, actually, I didn't miss it I just chose not to go, because by the time I arrived at school the class was already more than half way through. Then I made the decision to skip my next class because I wanted to study for my Calc midterm. So, let's recap: the first class and the second class I didn't attend. By the time that my Calc class came around I still didn't know enough to do well on the test. I took the test and I know that I got 7 out of the 11 questions correct (that's about a 'D'). Luckily I get to retake two of my four midterms that I'll take in that class, maybe I'll retake this test. After failing the test I was feeling pretty low so I decided to skip my final class of the day. Taking all of that into account, I basically didn't go to school today: 1st class (didn't go), 2nd class (didn't go), 3rd class (failed the midterm), 4th class (didn't go). Tomorrow I'll stick it out in school from 7:30am till about 2pm to make up for today and skipping so many classes.

I've been busy the past couple of days. This week was the basic school week, but the thing that made this week different from other weeks was that I actually did stuff besides going to school. I did some fun things like playing cards with little kids (by little I mean like 5 yrs old). The kids I played cards with didn't know anything about card games so I just sat in a circle with them and we just sat around "throwing down the cards".

Yesterday I just chilled with some family and friends, and then later on in the night time I chilled with some more family members. I don't feel like putting up too much specifics, so if you want to know "what really be goin' down" then you'll just have to talk to me.

I was actually early to class today. Normally I get to school and class a good 5 minutes after class has already started, so arriving early today was a good feeling for me. It feels like I've forgotten how to take notes. Throughout all my classes this quarter I've been confused on what I should be taking notes on. Usually I just write down what the teachers write on the board or what they say is important or going to be on the test, but lately all my teachers just keep talking and talking and I don't know what to write down. Most of the time I just sit up straight and stare a head and pretend to be paying attention when I have to no clue what to write down for notes.

Today was the first day of actually suiting up for PE, the weight room was over crowded and it was hard to get to certain machines and weights. I really hope that some people drop the class so that there will be more room.

I'm going to write some more later. Two of the parties were for my "nieces" Marly and Jayzalin, who both turned 4 and 2 respectively. I have to say that those parties were cool because I got to hang out with my cousins and some of my in-laws (most of my in-laws are like in their early 20s so we have a good time hanging out). The other party was for my cousin Rey who turn 25, I think. And his party was more of a mature affair, enough said.

This first week of school was easy compared to other quarters I've taken. I might get a job this quarter if the courses I'm taking continue to go on like they have.

I have a new journal page, sometimes I write more there than I do here. So it you want to check it out, it's:
boyforgotten.pitas.com

I woke up today feeling angry as hell for no reason, I figured that it was a sign that I would have a bad day. Fortunately, I was able to react to most of the day's events rather positively and so kept my day fairly manageable. I started today by going to school, it was cool because on fridays I get to sleep in an extra hour. Usually people don't have school on fridays but in my case it was necessary because those were the only days available for my classes.

The SaberCats game was today, and as usual I went to the game. (if you didn't know, I'm a hardcore SaberCats fan). The Cats played the Detroit Fury and for the most part it was a great game, tons of suspence and excitement. During the game, whenever the Saberkittens would come out (the Saberkittens are cheerleaders), my brother would stand up and clap and get all excited. You might say "what's the big deal?" Well the deal is that my brother that I'm talking about is my youngst and he's only 5 years old. And all through the game he would be pointing to the Saberkittens and smiling, I have this feeling that he might turn out the be a ladies man just like his older bro *ahem* HAHA. Anyway, the game was great but the SaberCats lost when they failed to recover their on-side kick with 35 seconds left to play, they lost 42-45. I'm really starting to get into this school study thing, maybe I'll be able to get back to my old "school boy" form when I used to get straight A's and almost never got anything lower than B+ except for the occassional B-.

In the computer lab today I was cruising around the web and stumbled upon the UCLA admissions department. It turns out that I have to complete a lot more courses before I can even transfer to UCLA. My "educational advisors" kept telling me to stick to the IGETC, but as it turns out the IGETC doesn't apply to the school Engineering and Applied Sciences at UCLA. So I've basically wasted a whole 2 years, well it wasn't really waste because if I want to go to another school than UCLA I've already finished all my GE; I even got my AA degree already. It looks like I'm going to be spending at least one more year at De Anza... oh well, most people spend 5 years at college anyway.

Aside from school I came home and did the usual routine which involves eating lunch then watching a little T.V. before doing my homework. After that I mowed the lawn, but only because my dad "asked" me to. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to get the lawn mower started before I could cut the grass. The strange thing is that when I came home the clouds began to gather and I thought it would rain and I wouldn't have to mow the lawn, but when I started to mow the lawn all the clouds disappeared and it was all nice and sunny. It was all very strange. I have to admit that mowing the lawn was cool, I got a workout, was able to get a tan, and also do something productive with my time.

I've been thinking about becoming a student member of the Board of Trustees. The position pays $200-$250 per meeting, but the most important thing is that if I get choosen I get to voice my opinions on what I think the school should do. I guess it's a mini step into the world of politics, I want to see if I'm cut-out for politics... who knows, maybe I'll be mayor of San Jose or even a Congress man someday and I can say it all started when I got apointed to the Board of Trustees.

Just a while ago my littlest bro (Simon Jr.) got himself locked in the bathroom. He's only 5 years old and he didn't know how to unlock the bathroom door. Luckily we got him out in about 5 minutes so he didn't stay in there too long. haha, it was funny and a little scary at the same time. I remember what Simon said yesterday when he saw my so-called mustache and I asked him if he had a mustache, he said: "my mustache is invisible". haha. That was a really cool and creative answer.

Lately I've been feeling all messed up. Maybe it's because of this new Daylight Savings time change thing, but I'm just not feeling like myself. It's as if I'm just going through the motions of living my life. The past week while I was on Spring Break I tried to get some rest and relax. Unfortunately for me, the whole time I was just kicking back and 'chillaxin', the same thought kept circulating in my head, "What have I done with my life?" Contemplating hardcore questions like the direction that one's life is taking is not a good way to relax.
Don't misinterpret what I'm saying, I'm not depressed I just spent way too much time in deep thought of my life up to this point. Maybe I needed a long vacation...
Today was the start of Spring classes. As of right now each of my classes looks promising, except for my Statistics class. The Stats class was frustrating, boring, and not understandable, all in the same day; and this was the first day of class. That makes me a little nervous about how the rest of the quarter is going to go.

"It's impossible to be perfect in an imperfect world."

I loved long car rides as a small kid. Most of my childhood seems to be just a series of car rides with events and locations between them. My family and I always seemed to be on the move, maybe constant travel is just a part of life. If you really have to sit down and think about it, we're always in the middle of going somewhere. Either we're on our way to work or school, or we're in the middle of life trying to get to our goals. As children we liked to always be on the move. I remember that as a young child I would make my mind up to go somewhere, then once I got to my destination I would immediately get ready to go somewhere else. Is life just one long travel with destinations as mere rest stops?

<img width='1' height='1' even just a regular "b". next week is finals week, i can't wait till this quarter is over... i need a vacation. i only have to actually take one final, the other 2 finals are take home essays and in type='text'>

today has been a long day. i finally think that spring is here, because when it turns spring i start to sweat like a mofo, i'm not even joking. driving home from school today i kept both hands on the A/C and sterred with my elbows just to keep my hands from sweating too much.

school was ok today. in my english class we had a quiz that i didn't study for and a teacher evaluation that we had to fill out in the same class. the whole class asked if we could not take the quiz and in return we would give her [my teacher] super great marks on the evaluation form. sadly, my teacher said no... it's all good. the guy that watched over the class for the teacher evaluation was the dean of the english department, he was a funny guy. he started to tell us all about his life story and how he made a movie called "firebirds" that cost something like $21 million. a real funny guy. in my child development class i forgot my toddler observation paper that was due today, so i'll have to turn it in on monday for less points. oh well, i guess less points is better than no points. it's hard to believe that the child development center and the new child development building (both of which are used as a daycare for the students at the colleges) which was built for over $2 million just this year at de anza college will be shut down because the state is cutting government funding to all the community colleges, state and UC schools. everyone should go out and protest on march 17 at either sacramento or on stevens creek blvd @ 1-3pm. for my last class of the day, history covering the 1920s to 1990s, i got to class early and sat down. at about 1:30pm when the class would start i noticed that nobody was there and i was sitting in the room by myself (actually there were maybe 3 other people) when someone from outside came in the room and said "didn't you guys read the sign on the door, class is cancelled today!" haha. i felt pretty lame that i was sitting there waiting for the class to start and it was cancelled, this was the third time that it happened to me... i need to start reading the signs.

Today was a beautiful day. All day long I saw parents and their kids just taking walks, from sun up to sun down. There were parents with toddlers, parents with little infants, and even parents with some teenagers. Overall just a good day to be out for a walk with your kids.

School was the same old thing. We watched a Nazi war propaganda film entitled "The Eternal Jew" which was translated into English sub-titles. It was a little disturbing, and there wasn't even any real evidence in that film. I guess it just goes to show that the masses are stupid and will believe anything. After class I was heading the parking lot when I noticed that it was a great looking day, it took the gloom of the film to make me realize what great weather we were having. There were also an abundance of good looking women out today. I think that whenever the weather is beautiful, all the beautiful women come out, but that's just my theory.

On a sadder note, I found out that Mister Rogers died. He passed away Thursday (2/27/2003) at the age of 74 in his home due to stomach cancer. It's quite a big loss to the educational television community and to the public. "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" was one of my favorite television shows when I was younger, even now it is still fun and interesting to watch. The little trolley, named Trolley, was one of my favorite characters; I loved his whistle it sound fantastic. I always loved all the songs that Mister Rogers had, and the way that he always changed his shoes and jacket before entering and leaving the house. Mister Rogers, you'll be missed, thank you for all you did. May you find peace where ever you are, Mister Rogers.

hey hey. What an entertaining day today was! I got to chill at home and just take naps the whole day, and then at night I got to watch the SaberCats destroy the Colorado Crush team. Wow, great day... great day.

Well the first part of my day was boring so let's just jump to what happened at the football game. Hard to believe but an hour and half before kick-off of the home opener of the SaberCats, there was a long line of people waiting to get into the arena. The game was cool, they were giving out replica Championship Rings of Arena Bowl XVI, I got mine and it looks pretty cool (I'll post some pictures on my AA web page). I almost lost my voice from yelling and chanting at the game tonight... dude, it was so great. There was just tons of energy in the arena tonight, and we watched as the 'Cats won 80 to 40. Ah, I'm getting sleepy now so I'll head off to bed. G'nite to who ever reads this stuff.

Back from Las Vegas. The trip to and from Vegas was not the funnest part of the trip. We basically drove from San Jose to Las Vegas, it took 9 hours to get there and on the way back home it took about 8 hours. It was like everyone wanted to be in Vegas for the long weekend, seriously it was like bumper to bumper traffic when it was 100 miles till the city limits of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Vegas wasn't nearly as great as I thought it would be, maybe to gain the full experience you need to be 21 or older.

I did manage to visit a couple of places while I was there, I went to "The Venetian" which was really nice. The next time I go to Vegas I'm going to stay at either "Treasure Island" or "The Venetian". I also went to Circus Circus, it was like a mad house in there with kids and their parents packed to the roof... crazy. I didn't just stay on "The Strip" I also went to the places where people actually lived. Once you get away from "The Strip", Vegas looks like any other town, it even reminded me of San Jose, except that instead of grass they had sand and rocks.

The real reason for going to Vegas was my cousin's wedding. It was a good wedding though kind of quick. Since it was Vegas, the home of "Shotgun Weddings" and "Drive Through Weddings" I wasn't too surprised that the ceremony was short. But it shocked me when I found out that it only took 15 minutes. The reception was the best part because that took like 6 hours, and was tons of fun. The best part was when the bride's garter was thrown into the crowd of single guys (you know to supposedly pick who would get married next) none of the guys grabbed it. haha. Everyone just stared at it and kicked it around a little, then after about 3 minutes some guy just picked it up, to my understanding he was crazy. I love being a bachelor... for now.

I leave for Vegas in a couple of hours. This will be my first time going to Vegas, wow finally I get to go to "sin city". Today was great because there was no school, they made friday a holiday in favor of giving everyone a 4 day weekend. So fortunately for me I don't miss any classes during my stay in Las Vegas. Yesterday I worked out by myself for the second straight time this week, it's all good though cause I didn't have to wait my turn to lift. There's this one girl in the weight room who always looks in my general direction when I'm working out, it's odd. Anyway I don't want to talk about that, no girl could ever be interested in me. I better go make sure that I packed everything, I don't want to get to Vegas and find out that I didn't pack any underwear... I hate going commando, it's dangerous with all those zippers.

Today was another weird day in the life of "antonio". I don't what it is with all these people wanting to be called by Spanish names, but it sounds cool, doesn't it? Let's get right down to what happened today. Once again the procrastinating bug hit me and I ended up trying to do my Child Development paper at 5:30 in the morning. Fortunately for me, I got enough of it finished that I could finish the rest of it before class in the computer lab right before my class. The funny part of that morning was when I started to ask my mom about how to tell if a girl is pregnant and she automatically assumed that I had gotten a girl pregnant, I was just asking. I can't believe that my mom would think that I would do that... hmm... The dirve to school was OK, today was one of those rainy days so people drove slower because they don't know how to drive in the rain. I made it to school on time despite slow drivers on cell phones which is always a plus. After my first class, I headed to the computer lab to finish my Child Development paper. I was feeling pretty good and confident that I would be able to turn in my paper on time. It was all going great until this one girl tried to put her CD in my computer (no I'm not talking in code, you sick people need to get your minds out the gutter). Anyway, I was polite about the whole misunderstanding and ejected the CD for her. Since the computers we were using were Macs, I had to exit the program I was using. But being the smart person I am I wisely saved my paper which was almost finished. After I gave her back her CD I went back to open up the Word document again, but when I went to open it the entire document was blank. The entire thing was erased, and all that work was for nothing, well not for nothing, I still had my other copy saved on my computer at home. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to see if I could find that document, and I spent another 10 mintues trying frantically to type it all over again. To make a long story short, I'm going to turn it in on wednesday and get 5 points off for being late, it's better than nothing I guess. And while I was in the middle of trying to do all this, another girl asked me to help her on the speech she was making for her public speaking class. She basically wanted me to write her whole speech for her, and once again I was polite and stated that I couldn't help her.
I got my test results back today from the test that I took on monday. I didn't do too bad, I got a 79%, just 1% off from what I got on the last test (80%). And since I didn't study more than 30 minutes for the test then that's a great score.
Well ladies and gents, there's just 2 more days till I head off to Las Vegas, Nevada. I can't wait... I wish I was 21 because Vegas is way more fun when you're 21. ;) *sigh* Right now I'm still just a "teenage dirtbag" but later on this year I'll be in my "twenty-somethings".

So far this week has kicked me so hard. well here's what happened thus far:

monday 2/10/03
I had a paper, 2 quizzes, and a hella hard exam today. That basically is a bunch of bull crap which I had to go through. On that day I didn't get any sleep because I had stayed up all night trying to finish my paper for my English class at 8:30am (ah, the joys of procrastination. I always say I'm going to stop procrastinating, but I end up procrastinating about not procrastinating). I got to my English class amazingly early, about 5 minutes before class started (that's early for me because I'm usually 5 minutes late to class everyday). And right upon entering the door the entire class was hit with a quiz of the previous night's reading. I think I did rather well on that quiz, and the rest of class was just a boring lecture through which I was just dazed. For my Child Development class I had another quiz, it wasn't too bad, it was just a 25 question quiz that passed fairly quickly. And then came my History class... the class with the exams fresh from the fires of hell. That history exam was some hard piece of bull crap (yeah, I'm using a lot of profanity but it's all warranted 'cause that exam really sucked). It had 75 multiple choice questions, and those questions weren't easy. Usually you'd say 'oh it's just a bunch of multi-choice questions, how hard could it be?' But my teacher must be some kind of Evil Master Mind (EMM) because I've never come across such hard multiple choice questions in my life; sorry SATs. Last exam the average score was a 65 out of a 100. I'm just hoping and praying that I at least got a 75% on this exam. Can you believe I had to deal with all this on a monday?!

today
Today wasn't as bad as yesterday. I just basically sat back and endured school. The drive home was hazardous, I almost got hit by some lady in a white 1995 Honda Accord. The funny thing was, that she was trying to avoid hitting a VTA bus so she swerved and almost hit me in the lane I was in. To everyone out on the road: The one thing you have to remember is IT'S NOT GOOD TO CRASH INTO OTHER PEOPLE'S CARS.

"intellegence is knowing when to put the toliet seat down" - told to me by some girl I was talking to at school. (no, I didn't ask for her digitz)

Fairly uneventful day today. Went to class, went home, tried to pick up on some girls, got a couple of rejections... you know, the same ol' same ol'. haha. jk, I didn't get any rejections, but that's something I don't want to discuss at the moment. So, I stayed home today after school and took care of my littlest brother, cause I'm a good monong like that. =P Anyway, I had to pick up my grandma at SFO (san francisco intern. air port) she just arrived back from the Philippines today! The drive there was horrible, too much traffric that I had to crawl along at 45 mph, the drive back was better, I hit an average of 80 mph. Yup that was most of my day, I don't feel like elaborating so I won't =P Goodnight.

Managed to get through another week day, which is no easy task. My day started at 4am while I was lying in bed debating whether or not to wake up and do my English paper. At around 6am I decided to stop being a lazy bum and doing something so I took a shower, got dressed, and started on my paper. It took me about 45 minutes to write my 2 paged paper (there was a minimum of 500 words and I had 559 =P) and I left the house at about 8:11am. SInce my English class was at 8:30 I had to drive like "mister speed racer" again (I know it's not very safe, especially for the other drivers that I'm "sharing" the road with) and I made it to school just in time... at 8:42am =( I attended class anyway, just to turn in the paper; it was just another day of discussing the previous night's readings. Well, I was able to hand in my paper so it was all good. And that was basically the highlight of my school day. The rest of my school day I spent lifting weights trying to get my body just a "little bit" bigger, if you've seen me already you know what I'm talking about.

Yup, then I went home and glued on the review mirror of the van with some "review mirror glue stuff". The fumes from that stuff were strong, they were so strong they made me passout for 3 hours! jk Anyway, I finished gluing the mirror back on and I went about doing my daily routine... which is nothing. And that, ladies and gentlemen was my day. I now bid you all a good night.

walang sakit, walang problema, ako ay maligaya

I got my tests back today... I didn't do very well on either of them. On my Child Development quiz, I got a 19 out of 25 which is a really bad score. I knew I should have studied more. My second test came back with a score of 80 out of a 100 (there were 50 questions), it looks like I got lucky on my History test. I really need to start focusing more and stop chasing around the "hot-cakes" but that's easier said than done I guess.

I dislike mondays, I didn't even want to get out of bed out, so going to school was the thing I was dreading the most. I wish school was over and done with... But the thing that helped to get me through today was just remembering the Super Bowl, haha. How about them Raiders? HAHA. And who beat the Raiders besides the Bucs? That's right, the 49ers beat the Raiders. Ah, just thinking about the Super Bowl makes me happy again. =D

(sorry Raider fans, I don't mean to hate; that's just the way it is)

Well, Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone. And when it was all said and done, the Tampa Bay Bucaneers were the victorous World Champions. Personally I would have prefered it if the Raiders would have won, but I had a gut feeling that the Bucs were going to end up on top. Oh well, it's all good, at least a team from the "bay" won. Even though the Bucs are from Tampa BAY, you gotta have love for the "bay", hehe. So to all you Raiders fans who have been hating on me for picking the Bucs to win what do you have to say now? All I have to say is take a look at the score: 48 - 21 in Tampa Bay's favor. I still got love for the bay, but you have to pick the best team and the Raiders honestly didn't look like the best team... I mean they did lose to the 49ers, come on now. Anyway, hope everyone had fun and stayed safe this weekend.

Aside from all the Super Bowl hupla I had a fairly eventful day. I went to church today (even though it was Super Bowl Sunday) and most people don't got to church today. I also went to a party for my grandma's 92nd birthday which was cool because it was just a small family celebration. We also watched the Super Bowl at my cousin's house becuase they have a 30"-something dgital TV which is great for watching. Well that was basically my whole day. I don't want to bore people with all the details, so I won't bother to write any of the details =P.

Don't worry, the Bay Area will have a Super Bowl Champion next season... my favorite pick is the 49ers. And in a close second are the Raiders.

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY to my littlest bro Simon Jr.

Friday! The week flew by rather quickly. I guess time flies when you're busy, having fun, and driving around. Today was cool, only had one class to attend and all we did was discuss last night's reading... basically just a laid back day of school. So, the weekend has officially begun! Saturday is my littlest bro's birthday, he's turning the big 5! That means next year he can begin to experience the wonderful world of "formal" education at the local public schools. I remember my first day of kindergarden, I cried most of the day... but anyway, let's get back on topic.

The weekend also brings about Super Bowl XXXVII (for all the people whole don't know Roman Numerals, that's Super Bowl Thirty-seven), the "biggest spectical in sports," which features the Oakland Raiders Vs. the Tampa Bay Bucaneers. Personally I don't really care who wins this Super Bowl, my team (the 49ers) got bounced in the second round, but at least they crushed the N.Y. Giants in the first round! Yeah! Bow to the Niners Jonas! *bragging rights* OK everbody, stay safe during this Super Bowl and Birthday filled weekend, and most importantly have fun.

Note to the Raiders fans: don't burn down the city. [refering to the night when the Raiders won the AFC championship game and burned down some guy's store/house]

what it says in my profile (as of today):
SUPER BOWL XXXVII : "black sunday"

Bandwagon:
"cuz i'm a Raider, oakland Raider" fan for now...

i think the raiders are going to win the super bowl, the bucs just aren't as good as the raiders offensively. score: 49 - 17

GO 49ers! GO Warriors! GO A's! GO Sharks! eh, raiders.

Eh, another monday. It's great to be alive and be complaining about how terrible mondays are even though this monday wasn't all that terrible. Today was rather relaxing, I didn't do too much to stress myself and just basically relaxed by watching T.V. yup, I was a couch potato today. I feel a little cheated, I mean there are people (high schoolers and all the rest of the other people) who get a 4 day weekend while I only have a 3 day weekend and have to return to the "daily grind" of school tomorrow; totally unfair. Right now I need to start my English "assignment" of 2 pages, it should be a piece of cake... so I'll procrastinate a bit longer.

"The glances linger, and I see your eyes staring straight at me... but I'm afraid to make my move."

I hate sending and recieving mixed signals.

I don't have enough time...

what's up with me lately?! Though some squirrels do get run-over, they continue to cross the street. Is it stupidity on the squirrel's part? No. The fact of the matter is that the squirrel is willing to risk everything to reach it's destination. I missed my first class (7:30-8:20am) because I had to pay some registration fees. It's not that big of deal though because I might end up dropping that class; it's difficult to wake up at 5:45am in order to attend class at 7:30am. The rest of my classes are OK, nothing to get excited about. In my Child Development class I saw a person I knew from high school, that was the first time I actually had a person in my class that I knew from high school.
It's only the first day of class and I already am tired of school. I think I need a break, maybe I should take a quarter off or something.
I'm going to try and buy all my books tomorrow, and hopefully I'll decide if I want to take that Stats class or not.

I don't feel like writing anything interesting today, so that's it...

...i'm tired.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's a new beginning... take advantage.

New Year's Eve! Happy early New Year everyone! it's the day after the snowboarding trip. I'm sore but just a little bit. The sleep that I had was really good, woke up around 12pm feeling extremely refreshed. Just spent the whole kicking back and watching football and eating a lot. So here's what went down on monday when I went snowboarding with my cousins and some friends:

[12/30 - Monday]
We left my cousin's house at around 3am and headed up to the snow in a Navigator and a Benz (riding in only the best... haha, jk). The trip there was fairly uneventful, there was no traffic what-so-ever, and a lot of people just passed the time by sleeping or eating snacks. We got to Sierra just as the sun was beginning to rise (about 6:30am), a very pretty sight when the light hits the freshly fallen snow. The whole day was spent snowboarding and having fun. Haha, by the end of the day Jason was so sore that he couldn't walk right, it looked like he was doing a pimp walk everytime he walked. Damn, I'd hate to see how he's moving now that it's the day after, he's probably still stuck in bed... get better yo, we still have to go up again next time, haha. The run "Sugar and Spice" wasn't as bad as I was told it would be it was actually enjoyable. Weather was great during the morning, it was well lit without having the sun's blinding light reflecting on the snow and there was no wind. But as the day progressed the weather got pretty bad, it started to snow and the wind began to blow hard. On the last run down "Sugar and Spice" I could barely see, my goggles were all fogged up so they were useless and I had to go down without goggles. The wind felt like thousands of tiny pins hitting my face because of the snow that it was blowing. Anyway, I managed to make it down the run and began to head home. The ride home was OK, the first half of the ride everyone was tired so everyone just slept, except for the drivers (thanks Harry and Hec). It was a good time had by all, more good memories to add to my already vast collection.
During the same day at Hec's house we watched TV and witnessed Lucky (the dog) hump a little hedgehog-thing into submission... what a bad dog, hahaha... but it was hecka funny.

went to church, then went to the mall (yeah, it's still December 29). I spent the majority of my morning watching football and sleeping; in no particular order. Later on in the afternoon I constructed one of those "computer-desk-things", which was simple since I followed the instructions. Around 6:30pm-ish I went to my cousin's house to celebrate his 20th birthday. Happy Birthday Erwin, you're 20 years old now bro... next year... hahaha! Passed the time at my cousin's party and got to watch parts of "Lilo & Stich" the Disney movie. That movie ROCKed (well atleast the parts that I saw anyway). During the party we all decided to head over to the snow and go snowboarding on monday. So this monday I'm going to be gone the whole day... SNOWBOARDING heck yeah! At 12:35am we all went to watch "The Hot Chick" which wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but it was an alright movie. Hey, now that it's December 29 it's Michael's birthday! Happy Birthday Michael... 2 more years dude!

I'm going to be out and about this Sunday, so if you spot me out on the streets don't be shy... say "hi".

Gotta get some rest, I have to be at church in about 6 hours. Christmas is great when you get to spend it with the people you care about most. To be honest, I wasn't really in the Christmas mood but when I was around family and friends it finally felt like it was Christmas. The Christmas party was cool, everyone [of the cousins] brought their girl-friends over... I don't have a girl-friend so I go pointed out and they asked me "where's your girl-friend Anthony???" Eh, it's all good... but it's kinda embarassing cause my younger bro has a gf and I don't... guess I just haven't met that right girl yet. There was more drama at this year's family Christmas party, but I won't go into that.
The presents were cool. Even though most of the families are going through some tough financial times, we had the most presents given out this year than in recent years. So you're wondering what did I get? Well... I got money =( and some silk boxers (wow!) and I got some clothes and I also got a razor for shaving (amazingly I haven't shaved yet, I guess I'll have to try it).

New Year's is coming up... advanced HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This is a new beginning, so make the most of it!

Ah, Christmas... good times.

Thanks to everyone for making this Christmas very memorable... in both the good and bad ways =D

Wow! it's already December 17 and the time is just flying by. There are now only 7 shopping days left till Christmas. And since it's December 17 that means that it's someones birthday... and that person would Angelica. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (ps. if you would like a birthday shout just email me, or IM me, the date of your birthday and i'll give you a shout out on this journal thing.) So what have I doneso far today? Well for starters I went to Target to get the new NAS cd "God's Son" which was at a low price so I couldn't resist buying it. Then after buying the cd for myself I decided to think of others and went Christmas "browsing". I went to the Great Mall and then to Oakridge Mall (dude, Oakridge Mall is really lame, it's just one long line) unfortuantely I didn't find anything "special" to get anyone... maybe I'll make something... uhhh... maybe not. Ah, but the day's still young, so who knows what other adventures I may undertake today...

i got registered for Winter Quarter 2003 classes today. I was surprised to find out that I was able to register for all of the classes except one which was closed. But no worries I was able to find a replacement class, so it's all good.
i spent all of the rest of my morning, and most of my afternoon, trying to finish my final English paper of this quarter. The paper was due today at 4pm sharp... I finished my paper at 3:51pm and I was still at home... I left home at about 4:01pm... and I got to De Anza at about 4:21 (thanks to some crazy@ss driving on the freeway on my part). Even though my paper was late I still got it done and that's all that counts! haha, no more English papers for 3 full weeks... YES!!!
Hmm... this week is FINALS WEEK for De Anza College... luckily for me I only have one final and that's my English Final which is tomorrow. In all my other classes there were no "real finals" all we had to do was show up and talk about stuff, it was all fairly simple. After tomorrow I'm going to be one laid-back-cat.
Let's see... what else did I do today... oh yeah! I went to the Great Mall looking for a specific video game, but the stores there didn't have it. But while I was there I saw my good buddy Mark Cerezo (he has the same last name me but there's no relation... at least I don't think so) chilling with a couple of his friends outside of the Century 20 Theaters near the Van's Skate Park. I said hi and we talked for a bit then I headed off on more exciting adventures. I ended up at Fry's Electronics where "your best buys are always at Fry's. Guarranted!" When I go there the lights in the parking lot were off and it was almost pitch black, kinda scary. At Fry's I picked the coolest game, SOCOM Navy S.E.A.L.S for the PS2. That game is going to be so cool to play. The rest of my day spent driving people around to various places... nothing big. Well I better get to studying for my English FINAL tomorrow... wish me luck!

i got a lot of things done today, I'm very proud of myself =D

To all the people out there who are taking FINALS or going to take FINALS soon I want to wish you all GOOD LUCK!!!

very strange day... I went with my dad to his company's Christmas party, and it was... well... interesting. It was basically a bunch of "grown-ups" (aka middle-aged people) doing that whole dining and dancing thing at the Double Tree Hotel next to the San Jose Airport. The evening was weird, all of my dad's co-workers kept asking if I drank or if I wanted a drink... do I look like I'm an alcoholic? becaues I'm not. Anyway, my dad and I stayed there for a couple of hours (just to eat, and be seen) it was cool, I heard a lot of interesting stories about gambling, over drinking, and travels to other countries from tons of people. The scariest part of the night was when one of dad's co-workers asked me to dance right when I was leaving the go home... usually I say that I'd like to dance but this time I had to decline. Another crisis averted... After my dad and I left the Christmas party it was about 9:30pm so I decided that I needed to get out of the house and do some stuff so I took off for a while. I got back home at around 12am (the things that I did after the Christmas party are secrets =X so I have to keep my mouth shut). That was my day... at least the part of my day from the afternoon till 12am. In the morning I woke up and messed around on the turntables for a while and played some video games, you know all the usual stuff that people do on the weekend.

wow, it's already the second day of December; where has the time gone? It's now the day after Thanksgiving Day, but it's still the extention of Thanksgiving Day. This year's Thanksgiving party was held at my house, so all the relatives came over here, it was a little crowded but it was cool. During the party everyone was talking, eating, playing games, eating, watching the football games, eating, and mixing it up on the turntables... oh, did I mention that there was eating? haha. After the thanksgiving party was the best part, I think. When the party was over just a few of the cousins stayed over and we watched old home videos of "back in the day", like stuff from thanksgiving '94 and how we all changed... it was a laugh riot! Then we all headed to Mercado AMC 20 theaters to watch "Half Past Dead" at about 12:40am. The movie was a little disappointing but it's all good, it was just a good time to hang out after having a huge thanksgiving meal. When the movie was over, we all headed back to my house to eat some more and to just chill for a bit. While chilling and eating, we watched more home videos and had even more laughs... we all laughed so hard that our throats hurt and we couldn't talk because our voices were hoarce.... good times... good times... I have to get up early for the after-thanksgiving-day-sales; need to get a head start and beat the crowds. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving, have happy holidays... g'nite.

"hahahaha" - we all laughed so much today.

hmm... I'm finally writing in here again, looks like someone had some free time today =)
What a nice friday it was... ok, so here's how my day went: I woke up around 8am to sound of my mom telling my little bro Emannuel to finish his homework that he didn't do last night. The rest of my day up until about 2pm was spent sitting around the house and basically not doing anything. After 2pm my day started to get interesting... very interesting... (well at least it was interesting for me). Took a trip to Eastridge after taking a shower and all that good stuff that people do to get all clean. It felt good to take a drive on not so crowded roads, I got to really open it up and hit the gas pedal to the floor... well not really, but I was still going pretty fast (watch out peds). After two years of driving with my license I've actually become more "layed-back" in my driving, I'm no longer a "crazy-driving-road-killing-motorist" or at least a little less than before. Anyway, I went to Eastridge to check out something at Sam Goody, but unfortuantely for me the thing that I was looking for wasn't there so I headed back home. That alone could've been enough to fill one day, but I managed to fit more stuff into my day! 7:30pm saw me heading out the door to go to Bible study. This week's Bible study was great, the whole college group (all 5 of us) went out to eat together at some chinese restaurant. It was an overall good time we just sat around joking and messing around while enjoying the fine chinese cusine. We barely had any time to discuss this week's discussion topic: "cults and satanism" hahaha. So we all decided to just say that "we learned about cults and satanism", and while saying that we would smile a devilish smile, hahaha... good times at Bible study. After the restuarant we all headed back to church to just chill for a while in the parking lot. When we got to the church parking lot we found out that there was another college person who didn't get join us for our "college group dinner" so we all felt bad that she missed out, but I think we're going to have another "college group dinner" so next time we'll make sure that she comes along. About that time (10pm) I said my good-byes and started to head home. I brought my sister home with me since my dad was still in a church meeting and my sis wanted to go home. Since getting home I've been passing the time messing around on turntables. Overall it was a pretty good day... yes, a good and interesting day... there should be more of these kinds of days.

slept like a log last night, there were no nightmares for me! When I got to church it was the usual thing which is cool. I actually enjoy going to church it's a good time out. Hmm... nothing else happened today. I'm just trying to relax and catch up on some school work.

saturday
finally I got to play "Grand Theft Auto Vice City", it's a fun game, I like being able to just run amuck and cause random acts of destruction... in video games anyway. Went to the movies and came back around 3 am, very unusual. I saw "The Ring" with some friends at Great Mall, I have to say that I thought it'd be scarier; I was a little disappointed. After "The Ring" I went out to go see "8 mile" with some of my cousins at Mercado; the parking was bad, but it's ok. At the end of "8 Mile" I was also a little disappointed too, just like after "The Ring" I guess my expectations for the movies was just too high. Ah, I like speeding down the freeway at 2 am... tons of fun for everyone. I've been wanting it to rain for the longest time, and finally today it rains... I'm so happy! I know other people might say: "what the f*** you want it to rain?!" But yeah, I like the rain, and besides if it rains that means that I don't have to wash the car because it'd be kinda pointless =P On the real though, I enjoy the rain. It makes tons of great sounds and it just feels overall refreshing; walking in the rain is great.

i wonder when the radio for my car will turn up, i'm getting tired of having to sing to myself when i'm in the car, just so i can have some music to listen to. besides, when other people stare into my car they give me that "are you talking to yourself? you're crazy!" look.

one draw back to the rain is that California drivers can't drive worth sh*t in the rain. It's whenever it rains people take stupid pills that make them forget how to drive... it's so annoying.

can you stand the rain

most of today was a complete waste of my time. Just finished with my English mid-term and Speech presentation today... I'm relieved and happy that it's all over. I had my Speech presentation first and I went a little "crazy" when I did my speech. It's ok though cause everyone laughed and thought it was part of my speech... haha... sometimes people don't have a clue. I did my speech on the san jose sabercats if you were curious what my topic was. During my speech I ended up pretending I was a QB and all that good stuff... pretty funny if you think about. Anyway, I thought I didn't do too well on my presentation but I'll just have to see what kind of grade I get... during the "group feed back" people tore my speech to shreds... oh well, there's still tomorrow. My English mid-term went rather well, I thought it was going to be harder but it was pretty decent. I wrote in about 2/3 of the bluebook so hopefully I got all my thoughts down... I just hope I at least get a B on my mid-term. I was a bad student today... I only went to 2 out of the 5 classes I had today... my excuse was "i was studying", haha, yeah right. Well actually I missed my first class cause I got stuck in traffic on the way to school... but that's not much of an excuse, the teacher will just tell me to leave earlier. The other 2 classes that I missed I just didn't go cause I didn't feel like it =P Now I have to prepare for my Calc quiz on friday and my English presentation and paper that are due next wednesday... ah the joy of school work =/

i think i'd like to be called Kid Minor it sounds like a good name... maybe.

"endless rain"

I'm so tired... Church was great it was fun, more fun than usual. After church I went to Big 5 with my dad to go buy some weights but when we got there they said they were all sold out so we just ended up getting a rain check. Anyway, I finally finished all of my speech 1 homework and now I have time to rest for like 5 minutes before I have to study for my Anthro exam. That speech homework was long and boring I had to read like 13 chapters over this weekend, but at least I finished so it's all good.

"girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money..."
that's what i learned today, very depressing stuff if you let it get to you... it's a good thing i didn't let it get to me.

why is everyone getting so materialistic? can't we all just focus on our needs and not our wants?

my eyes are playing tricks on me, it looks like everything is glowing, maybe i've just been studying too much. i need to get some rest.

I've discovered the best secret in the world! Isn't life just funny like that? I took group quiz in my Anthropology class, I don't think my group did too well, we ended up guessing on about 76% of the quiz. The quiz was mostly true/false, so we have a 50/50 shot on the questions that we guessed on... I hope we guessed right. If you want to know about all the other cool stuff that happened today... Thanks Angelica, you're cool =D haha. *sigh* I got a ton of homework to do on my birthday, so I better get to it.

I hope my birthday wish comes true...

wow, today was my two year anniversary of having my drivers lisence; it was also Grace's one year mark for having her lisence! My cousin Grace got married today! I want to just wish them the best, and I pray that they will have a long and happy marriage. Basically most of my day was spent at Grace's wedding. I still can't believe that she's actually married, when I think of people getting married I usually think of people who are pretty old, not at as young as she is. I wore a barong to the wedding (it's a filipino thing) and so did some of my other cousins. The wedding ceremony was good, and Grace looked beautiful like she always does. There were a lot of pictures taken, I'll post some up on my asianavenue web page when I get the pictures developed. The reception was held at a country club where there was golfing. The funniest part of the reception was when the bride did the bouquet toss thing and all the girls went after the bouquet, and when the groom tossed the garter to all the bachlors everyone stepped out of the way and didn't even try to catch it. After the wedding I went with some cousins for the traditional "after-the-wedding-bowling" well actually it's not a tradition, we just felt like going bowling--plus it's a saturday. We ended up at a bowling alley on 4th street and I ended up bowling a weak game... and while at the bowling alley I met up with some people from church, it's amazing who you'll find in a bowling alley. During half way through the second game, everyone started to lose interest and just began to have a little vocal jam session. The jam session was continued in the parking lot until the security guy called the police and we had to leave, then we all went to BJ's house and just chilled there till about 4:15am this morning. I have to up for church in 3 hours so I think I need to sleep now and get some rest... g'nite...

hmm... I haven't really had time to be online lately, school has just been taking up a lot of my time. And now that I'm actually trying to read the books that are assigned to class I've found that college is a lot of work. I'm still a little sore from my weight lifting class yesterday, I haven't lifted in like a little over a month so I lost a little muscle =( but right now my abs feel like someone ran over them with a truck and my arms are so sore that I can't even pick up a news paper... well not really, but my arms are pretty sore. Maybe college isn't what it used to be, but in my English 1C class the only simile that my group could come up with was "parking is like b*tch" which is in direct reference to the parking at De Anza College, I think college helped to make us smater people (yeah I know I spelled smarter wrong, I was trying to make a point). Well, I have a calc quiz tomorrow so I think I better get to studying before I go to bed.

wow, first day of school! Have to say that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I even got some digits. haha. Anyway, all my teachers seem pretty cool so I don't think I'm going to try and change any of my classes. I put together a hardcore schedule, very cool stuff. The drive to school and the parking was terrible which is how is usually is during the first couple of weeks of school. The hardest part of today was during my strength development class when we had to do those ab exercise, that almost killed me. But on the plus side I should have "Usher abs" by the end of the quarter, heck yeah! I have homework so I better get to it before I forget... ah, homework how I missed thee =/

ah, the start of a whole new week. Today was my brother's birthday--happy birthday Chris. And in celebration of my brother's birthday we all went to a baby dedication. Well actually it was my auntie Reggie's dedication of her baby girl Alexa, we went to the reception at some restaurant and got our grub on and were reaquainted with various people. It was a great time because while everyone was eating there were guys singing karaoke, very interesting stuff. After the baby dedication Chris went to get a "birthday hair cut" which was my treate (I was a little low on funds and it was the best thing I could come up with, besides he said he wanted a hair cut) =P. Then later on we had a pizza and ice cream cake thing for Chris at home with just the family. Good stuff. I finally start school tomorrow, and I must say that I'm looking foward to it, I'm eager to meet some new people and just to be out of the house. I hope everything goes well tomorrow.

I like it when people fall asleep when I'm driving, because that means that they trust in my driving abilities. So when I'm driving feel free to fall asleep, but not when I'm talking to you because that means you're bored =P

Lately I've been questioning a lot of things that I've been doing. I find it remarkable that I have the time to indulge in the most petty things, but when it comes to the more important things... I just can't get myself to do it. I need a change. So, anyway, today was a great adventure (everyday is an adventure!). Took the "green envy" out for an early morning spin to the local De Anza College to buy more books for school, tons of fun to be out on the open road again. Even though classes for De Anza haven't started yet there are a lot of cars and people on the campus, I think maybe they're just registering and paying off fees. There weren't too many people buying textbooks today which is good because that means a shorter check out line. Well I managed to get most of the books I need for the fall quarter but I still need to get my Calc book, that means I have to make another trip to De Anza. I got back home around lunch time and had a big meal then took a little nap (I like to eat and sleep even though people keep telling me I'm going to get fat that way). The majority of my afternoon was spent lounging, with the exception of having to pick people up from school or the mall. Overall a fairly good day. I need some sleep now... nite...

I started today fairly early--around 8:30am. Didn't really do much today, just watched a movie and drove around. I watched "Barbershop" which isn't as good as I thought it would be; I thought it'd be funnier. When everybody else is in school the whole day it's lonely. That's why aside from watching the movie and driving around, I also went job hunting. I mean if I'm going to sit around all day I might as well get a job to keep me occupied. While I was driving around, birds and other animals tried to jump in front of my vehical! I'm like a magnet for animals that jump in front of cars and end up as flat pancakes on the street. Maybe I shouldn't drive anymore, I might run over a bird or something... memories... =(

I need to learn how to take bigger risks.

Tomorrow's my sister's birthday and it's also the day of the terrorist attacks. It's hard for me to believe that my cousin is getting married, she just turned 18 a couple days back and she's already married. Good luck Grace & Jason, I hope that your marriage lasts. At the bridal/birthday party I met some really cool people, it turned out to be a very interesting get-together. Before the party, I stopped by marching band practice and said "hi" to some of the people there. Haha, almost everyone was surprised either by my long hair or that I had gotten "buffer" in their opinions--that was really flattering. It was good actually seeing ya'll people from the band, hopefully I'll drop by again to hear that great music ya'll are playing.

well it's friday, so that's a good thing. Good luck to everyone this school year, just make it through till the end and you'll be ok. After church I got to meet a friend that I haven't seen in awhile and we got to talk about certain things and how she's in college now and all that good stuff. Dude, everyone needs to keep in touch, i miss hearing from everyone. Later on when I arrived back at home I played some college football video games and kicked some major butt. Around 7pm I went to my cousin's house for a little family get-together, some very nice food was had at that place. I watched "Black Hawk Down" at my cousin's house, that movie rocks there's tons of action, during the movie I really had to use the 'little boys room' but I didn't want miss any part of the movie so i held it... yup, all in all it was a fairly great day.

I want to say happy belated birthday to Grace Jy Lee who had her birthday on Sept. 1, a very happy birthday to you! To everyone else: just enjoy this Labor Day weekend even if you don't have a birthday, at least there's no school or work (for most people). Have a great weekend and don't get too wasted. =)

why am I always forced to do things that I don't want to do? were facing the arizona rattlers for the arena league championship. the game was really cool, if you were a sabercats fan, cause the 'cats won the game 52-14. the whole compaq center at san jose was almost packed, it was crazy in that place, really good fun if you were there and saw the game. i saw the game with a couple family members so it was fun. san jose, world champions--yeah baby! i'm just really hyped right now.

after the game i went to my uncle's house and helped to put up a new bathroom mirror. i never knew that mirrors were so heavy, i almost thought that the mirror was going to shatter and cut my arms off or something, but luckily i helped to put in the mirror safely with no mishaps. at church earlier today, someone said that my hair looks fake (thanks a lot phil).

...ah, the sweet smell of victory! sabercats are part of the arena football league and the team is owned by the owner of Fry's Electronics. i'm so hyped that they're finally going to get to go the Arena Bowl, and since the Arena Bowl is going to be held here in san jose next sunday i'm going to be there! apart from all the cool sports stuff going on, nothing really important happened to me today.

i realized that people can't read minds, and that in order for a person to know how you feel, you need to tell them. i also learned that when brownies are just taken out fresh from the oven, they are very hot. i burned my mouth and my hands trying to eat those ever so tasty mouth burning brownies.

...while the tiger slept,
